Aakash Chopra questioned Ranatunga’s Comments on T20 WC Qualifiers

The comment made by the former captain of Sri Lanka, Arjuna Ranatunga, calling Indian team at Sri Lanka as the second string Indian team has caused an imbalance in the history of cricket. Ranatunga expresses that this is a grave insult and expresses his disappointment with the Sri Lankan CRicket Board.

Former Indian opener Akash Chopra says that the Sri Lankan Side is in struggle at the moment. The INdian Cricket team at Sri LAnka is being captained by Shikhar Dhawan under the guidance of Rahul Dravid. They rescheduled to play around 3 ODIS and T20s in Sri Lanka from 13th of July.

Ranatunga was seen making this statement in his Youtube Channel, latest video. He is the captain that made Sri Lanka  win 1996 World cup.

 Chopra said, “It is absolutely right that it is not the main team, the likes of Bumrah, Shami, Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma and Ravindra Jadeja are not there. But is it really like a B-grade team?”

Addressing the comments of Ranatunga, SLC claimed that among those set of 20 crickets, around 14 of them have represented India in all the cricket forms. Hence they are worthy enough.
