Abhishek Bachchan recalls first meeting with Aishwarya Rai when he was a ‘production boy’, admits he had a crush on her
Actor Abhishek Bachchan, son of Amitabh Bachchan confessed that it was tough to not ‘crush on’ Aishwarya Rai, before they got married and worked together on numerous films. Their marriage was occurred in 2007, and they own a daughter named Aaradhya.
Abhishek and Aishwarya’s ‘love story’ was started in Switzerland where they first met; Abhishek Bachchan told in an interview. While Abhishek was sent on a recce, Aishwarya Rai was busy in a film shooting with Bobby Deol.
On the podcast of YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia’s channel, he told “I first met her when I was a production boy. There was a film my father was making called Mrityudata, and I had gone for the location recce to Switzerland, because the company felt that because I had grown up in Switzerland in boarding school that I would be able to take them to nice locations.”
He added, “I had been there for a couple of days, all alone. And that’s when a childhood friend of mine, Bobby Deol, was shooting for his first film – Aur Pyar Ho Gaya. And he got to know I was there, and said ‘Hey, why don’t you come over for dinner?’ And that’s the first time, when they were shooting, when I met Aishwarya.”
According to Abhishek, his second movie was with the beauty queen Aishwarya and the movie name was Dhai Akshar Prem Ke. A good friendship was grown between them through several works before they got married. When he was asked for whether he ‘crushed on’ her at that time, he replied, “Who doesn’t crush on her? I mean, come on, come on.”
The couples shared screen in these movies- Guru, Raavan, Sarkar Raaj, Umrao Jaan, Dhoom 2, and so on.
