Another round of match before India playing against England, ECB Suggests
After a humiliating loss to New Zealand in the ICC World Test Championship Final, Team India has arrived in England. Before that, Virat Kohli and his teammates must play a Test series against the British in August. The Indian team will be able to display their brilliance on the English soil.
India will meet England in a five-match Test series beginning on August 4.The Indian squad is now on a three-week sabbatical, according to their current schedule. The team will begin training on July 15 in Durham. The Indian team will play some intra-squad matches due to the corona virus outbreak, but no matches against any county teams are currently planned.
“We are considering a request from the BCCI to host a 3-day practise match against the England county team,” an England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) official told IANS. We’re working in accordance with the Corona protocol to ensure that everything goes smoothly.
‘The Indian Test team will arrive in Durham on 15 July for a pre-test camp and then depart for Nottingham on 1 August,’ according to ECB officials. Many cricket fans believe that the practise match will assist Team India, but the English board will make the final decision.
