Budget increase of Rs 5 crore in IPL Teams, BCCI Announces
From the 2024 season forward, the budget would be increased to Rs 100 crore. If the franchise keeps three players, the budget amount is reduced by 15 crores, 11 crores, and 7 crores, respectively, according to the existing rules. Rs 12.5 crore and Rs 8.5 crore are deducted if the club keeps two players. At the same time, there is a provision in the budget to deduct Rs 12.5 crore for keeping the same player.
Now, the BCCI will enable four players to be retained, with a budget increase of Rs 5 crore. As a result, there is a chance that this regulation will be somewhat altered in such a circumstance.
Sanjeev Goenka Group (Kolkata), Adani Group (Ahmedabad), Aurobindo Pharma Limited (Hyderabad), and Torrent Group (Gujarat) are all interested in participating in the auction process. Other corporations, private equity companies, and investment advice firms are also interested.
Some players may opt to go to the auction rather than be cut from the team. The reason for this is that two additional teams have been added to the budget as a result of the rise in the budget amount. There may be a bidding war to buy players for franchise clubs in such a circumstance. Some well-known Indian cricketers may also participate in the auction. For more updates on sports, celebrities, Hollywood, technology and business, stay updated to the latest posts of The Midget Herald.
