On Malan’s return to the Test squad, England head coach Chris Silverwood stated, “David Malan deserves a comeback in the Test format.” He has a lot of expertise in all forms and I am certain that if given an opportunity, he would perform well at his home field.
Regarding Wood, the head coach said, “After the right shoulder injury in the first Test, we are optimistic that Mark Wood will be healthy.” Our medical staff is assisting him. We’ll find out how he’s doing when we get to Leeds.
