Disney+ has named Jess Morales as the star of their new National Treasure TV series.

Jessica (Lisette Alexis) will be played by the actress according to Deadline. She has acted in films such as We Need To Do Something, a horror thriller, and the television series Total Eclipse as a rising young actress.

Only one member of the cast has been disclosed thus far, but the new show now has a name. The National Treasure series will be directed by Jon Turteltaub and written by Marianne and Cormac Wibberley.

The next series will be executive produced by Jerry Bruckheimer, who worked on the original movie. Early on in the series’ development, Bruckheimer teased that it will be centered on a younger group of treasure seekers. Aside from that, the program will not shy away from discussing America’s sometimes-dark immigrant past because of Jess. To that end, Disney has the chance to present stories about historical events in a more historically accurate manner.
