“India has announced its best bowling attack”, Claims Kumar Sangakkara
Legendary batsman and the ex-captain of Sri Lanka, Kumar Sangakarra recently said that it is his belief, Indian men have chosen a set of best bowling attack for the World Test Championship (WTC). The WTC final against New Zealand has invited a lot of expectations from Indian skipper Virat Kohli and his two spinners. Sangakkara says that Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja are skilled enough to acquaint themselves with any kind of pitch and grab a couple of wickets there. This is what their past bowling history claims.
Along with these 2 amazing spinners, India has chosen Jasprit Bumrah , Mohammad Shami, and Ishant Sharma as the three fast bowling options. Mohammed Siraj was also an equally good contender, however when luck fails, nothing can be done. Thus he missed the opportunity of being in the playing 11. But on the other hand, McMillan firmly asserts that there is no need for any spinner in this situation. Very contradictory opinions. Thus the kiwis have gone with all the pacers in their playing 11.
Former New Zealand batsman Craig McMillan was also in support of this decision of not including the pacers. Apart from this contradictory opinions, New Zealand won the toss with the decision to bowl first at Hampshire. Now time will tell if whether the Kiwi’s point of view or Sangakkara’s opinion will favor throughout the match or not. Stay tuned to the Midget Herald for more updates on sports news.
