Kane Williamson thinks India has a fair shot of winning the WTC Test Final. He explains further
The WTC final held in Southampton was the most exciting game. After continuous showers all the day along with the clear weather confirming about the probability of winner, the match was enthralling. India getting started with their batting on 64 for 2.
However unfortunately they were bowled out for 170, thus New Zealand had a mere 139 runs to chase. To this few runs which isn’t a tough thing for kiwis to achieve, Skipper Kane Williamson scored a 52 while Ross Taylor remained not-out at 47. Thus the Black Caps thumped India by 8 wickets to become the world champions.
However the skipper Kane thinks that India had an equally good chance of winning the game or setting up the match as a tie. However the early wicket of Indian skipper Virat Kohli and Cheteswar Pujara turned the tables for the BLack Caps.
“For us it was much going in the day, every result was realistic, we were trying to do as well as we could. See how games unfurl and opportunity rises. It was amazing to take wickets on that, that set up more chances of result that partiular day,”
Pacer Kyle Jamieson was the hero of the match, for he took 7 wickets to his bag. For more updates on the recent Hollywood and celebrities news, stay tuned to the latest news and posts of The Midget Herald.
