Nasser Hussain recently shared his views on Kohli’s performances
Nasser Hussain, a former England captain turned pundit, recently shared his views on Kohli’s performances, suggesting that the Indian skipper should repeat his batting tactics for the 2018 trip to England.
“In 2018, Kohli also left a lot of balls and stated that in England, you have to put your ego aside. “I’m not saying he hasn’t done it now, but his head is a little jumbled and he’s playing at a lot of deliveries he might leave,” Hussain said in a dailymail.co.uk piece.
Let us remind you that Kohli had a very successful tour of England in 2018. He was the series’ leading run-getter, collecting 593 runs in only 10 innings at a stunning average of 59.30. Another interesting statistic is that Kohli faced Anderson for 270 deliveries throughout the series. And he didn’t give his wicket to any of them. He did, however, fall for Anderson’s trap on the opening ball of the 2021 tour. Perhaps Kohli is repeating the errors he made in 2014, which were disastrous for him at the time. Just like this tour has been for him up to this point.
