Resolution for covid help to India, US House recognizes the efforts of administration
The US House of Representative called for a resolution claiming that there is an urgency and in demand, for providing help to India in fighting against the second wave of Covid. The resolution is very much nonbinding in nature and depicts the sense of the house. It was introduced by the Democratic and Republican co-chairs of the House India caucus. It also concerns on bipartisan solidarity with India.
Steve Chabot, the Republican co-chair also said that the second covid wave in India has caused a tremendous amount of suffering both in Indian as well as among the fellow iNidan American community as well who have families in India. The close relations of USA with India should help India is getting the assistance during the pandemic. As the surge in cases continue, they ll must bind together to battle with covid.
The passage of the resolution was aanounced just a day after the US Agency for International Development (USAID) declared $41 million more in help, consuming up the total to $200 million, in addition to $500 million of supplies along with relief material.
