Sir Ludwig Guttmann’s 122nd birthday was celebrated by Google in its Doodle style

Ludwig Guttmann deserves full responsibility for organising the first Para Olympic Games in 1960. The Para Olympic Games gave differently-abled people a new lease on life, and they were able to demonstrate their abilities to the rest of the world. Let us remind you that the Paralympic Games will be place from August 24 to September 5, 2021.

He organised the Archery tournament for the disabled for the first time in 1948. This was the world’s first Games event for people with disabilities. It was later renamed the Paralympic Games.
