This programme is being panned by fans.

Shabana Azmi and Dino Morea star in the main roles of The Empire. The authorities received complaints about this series under the Information Technology Rules 2021, claiming that it praises Babar. However, authorities rejected it, claiming that the series does not glorify Babar. According to Hotstar, there is nothing contentious about the web series.
