According to Tolo News, Danish, 40, was in Kandahar’s Spin Boldak region during the conflict. He had been working in Kandahar for some years, according to published reports.

Danish, a Mumbai native, graduated from Delhi’s Jamia Millia Islamia University with a bachelor’s degree in economics. He also took a Mass Communication course from here after that. He began his career as a television journalist. After that, he successfully established himself as a photojournalist once more.
